Arkansas Above Rubies Retreat
2008
**Please scroll down for pictures from the 2007 retreat**

This site has been set up to give you details about the upcoming Above Rubies retreat in Arkansas.  Above Rubies is a ministry designed to encourage women in their high calling as wives, mothers, and homemakers.

Those who get the Above Rubies magazine have, no doubt, been blessed and challenged by articles from Nancy and her 3 oldest daughters.  We are excited to have the opportunity to hear Nancy speak again, to be encouraged by the beautiful music of Serene and Pearl, and to be challenged by Evangeline.  This promises to be a retreat that you won't want to miss.

~FAQs About the Retreat~

Who will be coming?
Nancy Campbell and her daughters (plus some of their children!)

How can I learn more about Above Rubies?  Click on the picture of the mother and baby in the top right corner and you will be directed to the Above Rubies website.

When is the retreat?
  November 14-16, 2008

Where is the retreat?
  Arkansas 4-H Center

1 Four-H Way, Little Rock, AR 72223

What are the rooms at the Center like?  The 4-H Center has hotel style rooms with both twin and full size beds.  Most rooms have a set of bunk beds, but I would not assign top bunks without asking you first.  No one will be required to share a bed.  Towels and bed linens are provided for each room.

If families are coming together, how will the sleeping arrangements be?  There will be 2 buildings set aside for sleeping.  One building will be for families and the other will be only women.

How can I find out more details about the 4-H Center?  Click on the picture of the 4-H Center at the bottom of this website and you will be directed to their website.

What does the retreat cost?
  see below for details....

What method of payments do you accept?  Check or money order (made out to Kelly Rackley).  Paypal using your checking account (no additional fees).  Paypal using your credit or debit card (additional fee of approximately $5 to cover Paypal charges).

Do I have to pay for the retreat when I register?  No.  Payment is due in full by November 6, 2008 (but you're welcome to pay before then! Ü)

Can I get a refund if I have to cancel?  Yes.  If you cancel before November 6, your entire registration cost will be refunded to you.  If you cancel after November 6, there will be a $30 non-refundable deposit for ladies (over age 18) and a $15 non-refundable deposit for husbands and youth (ages 6-18).  The remainder of the registration cost will be refunded to you.

What is the deadline to register for the retreat?   The deadline to register for the retreat has been extended to midnight on Sunday, November 9th.  If you are mailing your registration form near the deadline PLEASE call or email and let me know it's on the way.  After Nov. 8th I can not guarantee availability at the retreat center!

I am interested in the Razorback Rubies yahoo group.  How do I join?  Click on the picture of the mother and child in the bottom right corner of the website for more details.

Do you have a schedule for the retreat?
I like to provide a general schedule for the weekend for ladies who are trying to arrange airline flights.  I will send out a detailed schedule before the retreat, and you will have a copy of the schedule in your folder when you check in for the weekend.

**Those of you who attended last year's retreat will notice one change in the schedule--dinner on Friday night WILL be included in the weekend package. After our time with Nancy on Sunday morning everyone will be responsible for their own lunch on the way home.**

The general schedule is as follows:

Friday--check in from 4-6 p.m.  Dinner served from 6:00-6:45.  Nancy begins speaking around 7:00.

Saturday--Nancy speaks several times during the day.  Free time in the afternoon (will include a time of "food and fellowship" and maybe an optional session by Evangeline!)

Sunday--Nancy speaks and we have a wonderful time of testimonies; then we head home refreshed, encouraged and challenged!  Lunch is not provided.

~Cost~

This year we are pleased to offer 2 different retreat options....one with meals provided by the 4-H Center and one where you provide your own meals.  We are also excited to be able to open the Retreat Center to families who want to come together.  This is still a ladies retreat, but several women requested that their husband and children be able to come so they could be together during meals, free time and at night.  Everyone that comes to the retreat center can take advantage of the continuous beverage bar that is available in the main dining area of the 4-H Center and in Cabe Hall. This includes soft drinks, juice, tea, coffee, water, and hot chocolate.
