This site has been set up to give you details about
the upcoming Above Rubies retreat in Arkansas. Above Rubies
is a ministry designed to encourage women in their high calling as wives, mothers, and homemakers.
Those who get the Above Rubies magazine have, no doubt, been blessed and challenged by articles from Nancy and her
3 oldest daughters. We are excited to have the opportunity to hear Nancy speak again, to be encouraged by the beautiful
music of Serene and Pearl, and to be challenged by Evangeline. This promises to be a retreat that you won't want
to miss.

What are the rooms at the Center like? The 4-H Center has hotel style rooms
with both twin and full size beds. Most rooms have a set of bunk beds, but I would not assign top bunks without
asking you first. No one will be required to share a bed. Towels and bed linens are provided for each room.
If families
are coming together, how will the sleeping arrangements be? There will be 2 buildings set aside for sleeping.
One building will be for families and the other will be only women.

Do you have a schedule for the retreat? I like to provide a general schedule for the weekend for ladies
who are trying to arrange airline flights. I will send out a detailed schedule before the retreat, and you will have
a copy of the schedule in your folder when you check in for the weekend.
**Those of you who attended last year's retreat will notice one change in the schedule--dinner on Friday
night WILL be included in the weekend package. After our time with Nancy on Sunday morning everyone will be responsible for
their own lunch on the way home.**
The general schedule is as follows:
Friday--check in from 4-6 p.m.
Dinner served from 6:00-6:45. Nancy begins speaking around 7:00.
Saturday--Nancy
speaks several times during the day. Free time in the afternoon (will include a time of "food and fellowship"
and maybe an optional session by Evangeline!)
Sunday--Nancy speaks and we have
a wonderful time of testimonies; then we head home refreshed, encouraged and challenged! Lunch is not provided.
~Cost~
This year we are pleased to offer 2 different retreat options....one with meals provided by the 4-H Center and one where
you provide your own meals. We are also excited to be able to open the Retreat Center to families who want to come together.
This is still a ladies retreat, but several women requested that their husband and children be able to come so they
could be together during meals, free time and at night. Everyone that comes to the retreat center can take advantage
of the continuous beverage bar that is available in the main dining area of the 4-H Center and in Cabe Hall. This
includes soft drinks, juice, tea, coffee, water, and hot chocolate.
